The best make-up and skincare products go under the Fashion Team's microscope

Regular readers of beauty Lab will know we're huge fans of cleansing. Anything that promises glowing skin, and we're all eats. "A balm tends to be a soothing treatment for the skin, its base usually infused with plant and herbal extracts," says facialist Emma Hardie. "I prefer it to a regular cleanser because it's a multi-tasker: not only does the oil base melt make-up and dirt away, but the soft texture allows for an easy facial massage."

Emma Hardie Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm

£34 for 100ml,

With a gorgeous smell and luxorious texture, this cleanser left my skin feeling super-clean, soft and pampered rather than stripped. Also acts as an exfoliator or as a treatment mask if left to be absorbed. My poor old, dry skin feels, and looks, in better nick than it has done for a while. LAB RESULT 9/10
