Skin expert Emma Hardie swears by a thermal and ice facial splash the day before a party to solve last-minute complexion complaints.
“Add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil to a bowl of hot water (not boiling) and a couple of drops of lemon essential oil to a bowl of iced water. Soak a flannel in hot water, wring it out and press on to skin. Breathe deeply for three seconds then repeat with a cold flannel. Continue this process for one minute,” she advises. “The rotation of hot and cold helps to minimise the appearance of pores and blemishes and brightens the face.”
