I also visit Emma Hardie at the Hale Clinic (tel: 0207 631 0156). Sophie Dahl and Sophie Anderton are fans of her Natural Lift & Sculpt Facial (£130). Despite her telling me she ‘has a spooky talent’ and can ‘empower’ my skin, I find her clever and direct. She breezily talks atoms and molecules, bio-electrical fields and cell renewal, happy vibrations and connective tissue. Admittedly I am a little sceptical when she claims she can re-attach my fallen cheeks up and around my ears again by creating skin traction, softening and manipulating my facial muscles. Bizarrely, after less than an hour on her treatment bed my face felt like it had been re-arranged – cheeks plumped, evidence of late nights erased, lines smoothed, pores closed, skin tone evened, and the difference in texture was notable. I’m converted to her skincare range, especially the Amazing Face Firming Eye Serum (£30, at Space NK).
